TELEGRAM NEWS-TICKER 50 YEARS KRONE For 50 years now, the firm Tulloch Farm Machines in New Zealand has imported Krone machinery. To celebrate the occasion, the company has invited its dealers and end-customers to a jubilee event with an impressive programme. In particular, the congratulations from Spelle go to Graeme, John and Henriette Tulloch. AUTONOMOUS HAY TURNING Premiered at the grassland evening staged by Krone dealership Prinz was a field robot. The completely autonomous so-called GreenBot performed well in combination with a Krone turner. BIG RENAULT CLIO With a “BiG Renault Clio”, employees of the French farm contractor Pierre Pesqueux surprised their boss at his wedding. The team invested around 350 hours preparing the unique vehicle. FOR TRAINING Practical experience is the most important schooling – according to this motto Krone has made available a BiG X V8 forage harvester for the Chamber of Handwork Training Centre in Landshut, Bavaria. At the presentation, Krone managing director Wolfgang Jung emphasised: “Education and the encouragement of industry newcomers are of significant importance to us.” KRONE TEAM IN THE FSL Premier in the Farming Simulator League: The Krone eSport team made a successful appearance at Farmcon 2019 – and is already in intensive training for all challenges in 2020. In the “Manufacturer Team” are (l. to r.) Frederic Leifeling, Sascha Straub, Martin Potzmader, Lukas Steurer, Maximilian Fritz and Andreas Beisswenger. FIELD DAY IN KENYA At a forage harvesting/ feed quality field day staged near Nairobi in Kenya numerous farmers, mainly sorghum growers, reported that they’d substantially increased milk production on their farms thanks to the high-value feed produced by professional Krone harvesting machinery. 40

BIKING POLICE A cheque for 1,000 € for the Children’s’ Cancer Aid was presented by Krone managing director Wolfgang Jung to the “IPA Lower Saxony Tour”. The IPA (International Police Association) includes some 420,000 police officers from more than 60 countries. MOVE TO THE SUPERVISORY BOARD On reaching retiral age, Alfons Veer (r.) is to leave his position as Krone Holding chairman of the board after 16 successful years. At year’s end, Herr Veer moves to the Krone Group supervisory board. His successor will be Dr David Frink (l.). BEST SUPPLIER In the Supplier Presentations; Krone awarded honours to seven suppliers that impressed through outstanding performances. Winning recipients were the firms AQ Wiring, MBH, Vacu Form, Comer, Agrostroj, Bühring and Köklüce. GREAT INTEREST IN BELGIUM The new Krone Team Belgium invited guests to two demonstrations. Around 700 visitors streamed to Geel in Flanders and some 450 attended the event at Warzée in Wallonia: outstanding events staged by works representatives Bart Deprez and Marc Baguette. “HOT KRONE” Industry is the future – the title of the campaign for the photography competition staged by IHK and the Industrial Employers Association Osnabrück – Emsland – Grafschaft Bentheim e.V. With the photo “Heiße Krone”, Krone trainees Derk Schoolkate, Niklas Vernim and Marcel Thien won third prize. ATTENTION COLLECTORS New in the Krone shop is the collector model of the BiG X 1180 scale 1:32 with Lift-Cab and two headers: XCollect 900-3 and EasyFlow 300S. 41
