MENSCHEN TELEGRAM NEWS-TICKER Super Truck visits Krone World premiere at Krone in Spelle – the brand new InfoTruck from the national organisation for metal and electrical industries (ME) marked its first public appearance with a visit in September to Krone. And there, a large number of schoolchildren visited the two-floor vehicle to learn more about training opportunities in the metal and electrical sectors. Central farming show More than 650 exhibitors and 280,000 visitors were counted at the 2016 Bavarian Central Agricultural Show (ZLF) in Munich. Highlight on the Krone stand was the new RX dual purpose forage wagon. Jubilee party at LVD Krone Present in the new federal states for 25 years. As part of a celebration event held at Zorbau, LVD Krone thanked all its customers, suppliers, staff and friends for their long-term loyalty to the enterprise. Australian dimensions Take an area of 127 x 215 km and 65,000 head of cattle: these are the main ingredients of an Australian farm near Mount Isa. For the forage harvest, numerous farmers there rely on Krone machines. Krone at the IAA Telematics and digitalisation were two focal themes at the IAA Commercial Vehicles exhibition. In this context, Krone presented commercially-applicable solutions which, in part, had been developed in close cooperation with Krone’s agricultural machinery sector.

VariCut for BiG Pack In the production of short-chop straw, regional conditions always have to be considered as important factors. For this reason, Krone offers its new VariCut cutting system (with 51 knives) for its BiG Pack balers series BiG Pack 1270 VC and BiG Pack 1290 HDP VC as alternative to the proven PreChop system. Krone France SAS opened With a large event for machinery dealerships this autumn, Krone France SAS opened its new location at Saint-Arnoult-en- Yvelines. The new team there presented itself and the focal points of respective departments. The event was rounded off by tours through the new premises for the around 230 guests. New in Krone team Since beginning of June the new Krone company representative for the area between Ingolstadt and Regensburg, Andreas Weiß (27), has been on duty. In this region, he supports Krone sales partners. Additionally, Andreas Weiß helps as competent contact supporting the area’s farm contractors, machinery rings and farmers. Turnover record Almost 1.8 bn euro turnover has been earned by the Krone workforce in the completed financial year, from which more than 1.2 bn euro is from the commercial vehicle sector. For agricultural machinery, turnover share totalled around 566 m euro. Basis for this was, in particular, strong growth in export markets. First Krone service technicians Hendrik Wossidlo from MIHG Petschow and Lars Helmers from AGRAVIS Technik Weser-Aller GmbH have both very successfully passed their Krone Service Technician Self-Propelled Machinery (HWK tested) exam. The test comprised 90 minute periods: One covering practice and the other theory. 41
